Viewing art is in the eye of the beholder.  Making art on the other hand is available to all. How many times have you said, " I can't even draw a straight line"?  To my students I respond, "that's what rulers are for" The world of judgement in art is strong, but entirely unnecessary and let's not forget completely discouraging.

As an Expressive Arts Psychotherapist and Art Educator the simple act of creating has an immediate neurological benefit. With regular use of the imagination and art making, confidence builds, and negativity decreases. This results in a unique means of visual communication and greater overall sense of self.
